St. Clare's Franciscan Contributions

Presented by Br. Mark Gregory D'Alessio

Friday, February 7th at 5:00pm to Sunday, February 9th at 1:00pm

Affection, security, power – the Franciscan narrative of these most basic human needs is at the heart of Jesus’ Gospel. It’s also the way of Clare of Assisi and her unique contribution to the Franciscan Journey. Clare, following Francis and living for 27 years after his death, knew, as did Francis, that there is but one enduring spiritual insight and everything else follows from it: the visible world is an active doorway and hiding place for Spirit, forever offering God’s Wisdom to be discovered anew. Join us, through reflection, inner-journeying, guided meditation, group conversation, contemplative silence, and prayer, to explore how our outer world and its inner significance must come together for there to be any wholeness and holiness. Clare will be our guide, through her life, writings, leadership, and spirituality.

“We become what we love and what we love shapes what we become …” ~ Clare of Assisi
