Presented by Maureen O’Brien
Brian Doyle was an American spiritual writer who left behind a body of work unparalleled by other writers of faith. In this workshop, we will begin with his most well-known (and beloved) essay on hummingbirds, Joyas Voldoras (“flying jewels”). We will explore his touching prayers and essays, written in the role of a “regular guy”: brother, husband, father, son. No experience with Doyle’s work is necessary, just a desire to be moved by brief, tender stories of the “ordinary”.
