Join us for a delicious and informative day program where you'll learn to prepare flavorful and health-conscious meals that celebrate the rich culinary traditions of the Mediterranean. Our featured menu includes tender Meatball Kebabs with cumin, hummus, and spinach served on flatbread; savory Greek-style Beef Stuffed Portobello Mushrooms; and Garlicky Flank Steak accompanied by a nutritious blend of kale, farro, cranberries, and almonds. Chef Margaret’s demonstration will explore the vibrant flavors and heart-healthy benefits of Mediterranean cuisine, perfect for bringing new life to your fall cooking.

Chef Margaret Jacobs serves as Head Chef at Wisdom House Retreat and Conference Center. A graduate of the Culinary Institute of America, Hyde Park, New York, she has more than 30 years of professional cooking and kitchen management experience. Prior to coming to Wisdom House, she owned Hannah’s Bakery and Catering of Torrington and Litchfield, where her delicious baked goods attracted a devoted clientele.
