Meet the Sisters: Sr. Barbara O'Dea, DW

Sr. Barbara made her first vows on American soil at St. Anthony’s Church in Litchfield in 1953. Her journey as a Daughter of Wisdom has led her around the world, including her time as Superior General of the Congregation, Provincial, and Vocation Minister for the Daughters of Wisdom, US Province, as well as a Teacher, Catechist, and Liturgy Director.

In her interview, she shares a lesson that has propelled the mission Wisdom House: actions in the present impact the future. She states, “Instead of constantly looking at what might be, you look at what is and how God would like, Wisdom would like, to transform that as well as us.”
