Yoga for Gardeners
Presented by Barbara Putnam
Spend an hour and a half with Barbara Putnam, who learned from experience that a regular yoga practice helped her avoid injuries in the garden. She will introduce simple yoga practices that can help gardeners develop their strength and flexibility.
She will also offer an overview of the deeper aspects of yoga. She will show how applying yogic principles to gardening supports the practice of organic growing. In her discussion of meditation, she will offer mindful practices to help the gardener develop a more balanced perspective, to make better use of her time, and to cultivate a closer relationship with her plants and with nature. Attendees can expect to come away with practices that can enhance their enjoyment of gardening and their overall sense of well-being.
Attendees are asked to wear comfortable clothing that allows for movement.
Cost is $15
