In this retreat, you will learn how the parallel teachings of Jesus and the Buddha provide an enormous and liberating guidebook for human possibility in and through what are considered their most essential teachings. “The Healing Wisdom of the Beatitudes and Noble Eightfold Path” will confirm many of your intuitions, challenge some long-held assumptions, and assist you to flourish in unconventional ways.  It’s ancient wisdom and practice for modern spirituality.

This is Part 3 of Wisdom House’s popular online retreat series, “The Parallel Teachings of Jesus and Buddha.”  Br. Mark, a Christian priest (in the ecumenical Franciscan tradition) and practicing Buddhist (in the tradition of Thich Nhat Hanh), will encourage you with wisdom and spiritual practices from both traditions to illuminate the way to a life beyond uncertainty and suffering and towards hope. 

“Part Three: The Wisdom of the Beatitudes and Noble Eightfold Path” is a complete retreat in and of itself — you are welcome to join us even if you did not participate in the either of the first two parts.
