Join us for a meaningful day of learning, sharing, and reflection with internationally renowned grief educator and author, Dr. Alan Wolfelt. This special event offers three distinct sessions, designed to support both end-of-life and bereavement professionals and the wider community.

Morning Session, 10:00am-12:30pm: Professional Development with Dr. Alan Wolfelt: When Grief is Complicated: A Model for Understanding, Identify and Companion Grievers
Kick off the day with an insightful session tailored for end-of-life and bereavement professionals, including hospice workers, therapists, clergy, and caregivers. Dr. Wolfelt will deliver a compelling talk on companioning the bereaved, followed by an interactive Q&A session, offering practical tools and wisdom for supporting those navigating grief.
Afternoon Session, 1:30pm-4:00pm: Panel Discussion & Bereavement Resources
The afternoon features a dynamic panel of experts in end-of-life and bereavement care, sharing diverse perspectives and experiences. This session also includes an opportunity to explore local and national bereavement resources, making it valuable for both professionals and the public seeking support or guidance.
Evening Session, 6:30pm-8:00pm: Keynote Address by Dr. Alan Wolfelt: Exploring Death, Grief and Mourning
Conclude the day with a powerful keynote address by Dr. Wolfelt, offering heartfelt insights into the journey of grief and healing. His compassionate approach and profound wisdom promise to leave a lasting impact on all who attend. Dr. Alan Wolfelt has been recognized as one of North America’s leading death educators and grief counselors. His books have sold more than a million copies worldwide and have been translated into many languages. He founded the Center for Loss in 1985 to offer education and support both to grievers and bereavement caregivers. Well respected for his inspiring teaching ability, Dr. Wolfelt is a past recipient of the Association for Death Education Death Educator Award. He is known around the world for his compassionate messages of hope and healing as well as his companioning philosophy of grief care. Dr. Wolfelt speaks on grief-related topics, offers trainings for caregivers, and has written many bestselling books and other resources on grief for both caregivers and grieving people.
